05/31/16: True

Do you remembah? That time in Septemba?

Saw a really good movie.
Yeah it was nice
Ohhh baby. I didn't know how much I'd love the setting for this movie until I watched it. The movie is directed by the guy who did Iron Man 3, but also I just recently discovered Predator and Lethal Weapon.

P. good movie credentials. Everyone makes mistakes called Iron Man 3, so I will overlook this.

The movie is based in 1977 Los Angeles, California, a city that moved the fastest when it came to America's main string of entertainment for years to come: pornography. A porn star had just recently passed from an accident, a mystery that much to our duo's chagrin is a much more complicated plot than initially presented.

The music is kickin'. Just bought the soundtrack, and am now jamming the Earth + Wind + Fire, and I don't think I will ever hate this within the next few listen sessions.

Nice Guys is awesome and has a large number of memorable scenes. Nixon will visit you if you do not watch this movie I would do it soon.

Holy shit my arm is itching right now. My friend and I decided the other night it was time to paint the town red. So we did that. We went to Walmart and bought cans of red, blue, and purple paint to use at this outdoor public gallery where peopl- fuck I think I brought home flees from his damn car christ all mighty purge my room with righteous holy fury.

Anywho, it was a blast. During our Walmart endeavours, my friend wanted to avoid suspicion so I told him to tell the clerk we're just going to paint each other. Moments later when the clerk was called to us, my friend kept the straightest face he's ever kept and said oh yeah my friend and I are going to paint each other. I love this man.

The whole night proceeded in the same way. It was actually intensely fun and we talked about Count Sacula and his penchant desire to suck your balls. We went out to eat at Kerbey Lane, and it was cool, too. Although the gentlemen got my order wrong like twice, I only accept 0 times so die. Oh forgot to mention this is in Austin, Texas.

I sometimes think like the avatar, my soul too has been passed down to me. In terms of pretentious long word using, I have a very high ratio of dontknowwhatthiswordmeans/iknowhatitmeans words.
Don't be fooled, I am illiterate and am likely to ameliorate the situation. Fuck, I use them right sometimes too, I'm not sure how. Thank you wordsmith spirit animal. Bless up.

Oh, and I've been playing Overwatch. Cool game, might post stuff for it. But I've been working on other things.

05/22/16: Bingo Bango

Bingo bango! Haha!

My newest phrase of the week. Have been saying this way too much, and I got it from watching penguinz0's channel on YouTube.

This week has been a lot lotta nadda!

I found out they closed a really good burger joint near where I live. It's a chain restaurant that I've been to only once in my city, but it's a damn good chain restaurant. If I were to have any regret in life, it would be that I wish I talked to that one person. AND brought them to the aforementioned closed chain restaurant. It would've been the perfect date.

Besides that, my parents invaded my room and installed an air conditioner. Probably the best decision they've made for me this decade. I love this and am in love.

Waiting impatiently for this Tuesday. What's on Tuesday?
It's Taco Tuesday. I have a weirdly large erection for tacos on on the eve of the weekly apex.

Oh, also Overwatch is coming.

But more on that when it does.

What I've been doing this past week is this:
Trying to anyways.
I've come to an idea drought. I need some inspiration, and I believe it can be found in old pop tunes.
I've also finally finished my Kero Blaster Let's Play. Please watch it. Boy, that only took the better half of a good year. I apologize.

I also checked out. . .
Boku no Hero Academia!
Or My Hero Academia. Or Best Girl Academia.
Boku no Hero has a really likable cast so far. The characters are fun, and the "quirks" they have are pretty neato, too. Okay, I don't care about this anymore. The only thing I care to write about is Yaoyorozu Momo.
Ahhhhh, I love her. She's been a pretty cool character so far, but the latest chapter I've read really won me over. Ahhhhh she's great and has a very big sister personality ahhhhhh she creates things through her body ahhhh. She has the closest ability to a JoJo character, and that's what appeals to me the most. A lot of potential for tricks and smarter use of her ability.

I've started to play Final Fantasy VII as well. Color me surprised, but game held itself very well through the years. The combat is faster paced and reminds me a lot of this older game that has a very similar combat to this one. I have no idea what's going on in the story besides some anti-pollution message. Everything else afterwards with Aeris was pretty noncoherent. Seriously. And the part where I had to guard her from the incoming soldiers was one of the most embarrassing scenes I've witnessed in an RPG. The whole time I was just blushing as the wave of soldiers attacked the person I was guarding one by one, and all I could think of was dropping barrels on them like some retard phantom of the opera. UGHHH I'm blushing now thinking about this christ.

I'm having a hard time choosing between screen recording software as well, but I have a feeling I know which one I'm going to pick.

And that's it. See you next week-
You can ignore this.
Goals
*Contact University of Houston Admission Office, I need to clarify the TSI situation.
*Buy presents for my bro's birthday. I need to do this.
*Financial Aid? I feel like I can do this next week, though.
*Release another video.
*Go for some runs. I need this.

And that's it.
Bye bye readers.

05/15/16: Ennui

What an interesting week. Finals are over with! Finally. Didn't get the grades I wanted, but at least they were satisfactory. Besides Finals, very eventful week.

Spent most of this week playing Osu! If you haven't heard already, it's a rhythm game for weeaboos and normies alike about clicking circles. Spending too much time on it honestly. At least it's paying off; I've jumped a few thousand ranks! Not actually paying me in monetary value but with pride points and stuff.. you know what I mean.

Besides that, I've also been playing Final Fantasy: Lightning Returns.

Very interesting game. By now, you must've heard of the time limit when it comes to this title; really, it's just an illusion. There's a feature that lets you stop time by consuming one point of energy out of say 5 or 6, and these points can be easily gained by defeating enemies. Honestly, it is kind of a pointless feature. Playing so far, I extended the third day by fifteen extra hours until I finished the main quest in the area. It lightens the tension of having to do things, which is positive at least. The time restriction thing was basically the pancreas of this game. It is important to the plot, but honestly servers no other purpose than doing so.

The game plays nice. Plays like a pseudo third person action game, but moves will be limited to how much 'stamina' a certain garb has. It's just like having a party of heroes. I actually like this. I enjoy dressing up Lightning in the most ridiculous costumes, like cat eared moogle goddess, or train conductor formal wear gal. I know this is just fan service pandering, but I'm a fan and I enjoy being pandered. Especially since it's Lightning, my waifu of Final Fantasy. Oh, by the way, you don't level up. The only means of upping your stats is doing quests. I hate this; some quests are just awful grind quests to commit monster genocide, and all you get is a new set of threads and maybe +50 health points. This should be optional.

Otherwise, this game is okay. The game can get surprisingly grindy. For instance, in order to get new moves, you have to kill monsters. Everything is a random drop, so if you want to synthesize all your equipment, you have to get through a wall of monsters. The game is pretty. It does not in the slightest run fantastic on the PC, so keep that in mind.
~

Ahhh what else have I done. Oh, the week of finals, I bid farewell to all my classmates who I hang out with at our student center.  It was actually really sad and I miss them all already. I'll be seeing some of them again within a couple of days due to luck having me and there being a celebration of all the honor students at a hotel here. It's nice. The girl who invited me was nice. Everyone was really nice; apparently everyone's opinion of me is that I'm smart, which is not really the case. I'm actually really average when it comes to grades. A few days prior to getting invited, we celebrated my friend's birthday. He for some reason didn't want to tell anyone it was his birthday, so when he told me, of course I'm going to do the opposite and tell everyone. We even sang him happy birthday, I think much to his chagrin. Sorry man, but I can't help myself. I like to make people's business my business. I'm going to be really annoying. Unfortunately, it was also his last day here where I lived, and he moved away a bit, so I can't bug him anymore. :( I'm glad we got to celebrate your birthday bud, let us know when you wanna go out again.

A few nights ago, I also had the pleasure of going to my friend's house for the first time. It was cool. He has a really good collection that makes me very envy. Next time I'll take pictures, it was pretty neat to see. I let him borrow one of my arcade sticks so we can play an actual street fighter match next time.

Besides that, I'm also starting my first Final Fantasy VII run. Should be good, as my friends praise it to the sky. I hope.

Man, I should really learn a practical skill.

Ah! Also I found my friend on facebook finally. I met this artist at the anime convention from a couple of months ago, and he wanted to add me on facebook. I finally found him thanks to his friend and a lot of investigation. We're going to do sets on Street Fighter pretty soon as well, so it seems Street Fighter V will be my game of the summer.

Anywho, that's it for this week. I have a lot of business to take care of, and next week I'll be able to fill you in on what it is.

See you space cowboy.

5/01/2016: Scarborough Rennaisance Fair and Existencial Crisis

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

Or is this some kind of computer simulation made to simulate life on Earth before some kind of apocalyptic crisis?

Question everything.
If you haven't played the game already, do not read the following.
The game is set about a hundred years into the future, when mankind is eradicated by a meteor and the only hope is a team of scientists and engineers that happened to be marooned after the event.
Really interesting backdrop so far, but the story doesn't stop there. They have discovered a bio-organic substance called Structure Gel that can be 'programmed' to take shape of whatever is willed it by the user. An AI called the WAU was designed by the team pre-crisis to protect and preserve humanity/life. After after society has been wiped by the incident, WAU decides to use the structure gel for its own means, absolutely devastating bases and using the gel to create all manners of horrifying manufactured creatures that have some sentience.

More interestingly, however, are the questions asked of from the player.
What does it mean to be human?
If there was another you, would you want it to be alive?
A copy of your conscience is on hard drive, would you be comfortable knowing that all it takes to be you is a shell and copy of your ghost?

This chilled me.

I haven't thought this hard about the human soul ever. Even more impacting are the questions risen in game, a sort of questionnaire for the player early into the game and finally near the end. Everyone's answer is different; all responses will be subjective. However, when you get to the second questionnaire and realize you are answering differently, that is when you know you have stumbled into a landmine of thought, and everything you know has changed in terms of perception of reality. This is nothing short of a masterpiece. To have a game influence me in such a way is phenomenal.

Overall, if you haven't already, don't watch a Let's Play or reading anything about it. Go in blind. There will be obvious parts of the plot, but don't get distracted. Everything is really neat, from the ambient sounds and the enemies, but the whole point of the experience is to see what you can take out of it.

As if I wasn't deep enough, I checked out the the Scarborough Renaissance Festival with one of my bosses this weekend.
I felt like I stepped into an RPG. The experience was almost surreal.
my boss and his wife
Oh yeah. I was designated third wheel for this field trip. Someone's gotta keep this tricycle balanced I suppose.
After passing through ye olde ticket taker boothe, we happened upon this gentleman. The Gatekeeper, is what I label him now, but in person his aura was too much and was immediately intimidated. The skulls man.

Oh, and there was a wedding, too. That was nice.
A guy doing a bird showcasing. We might have been late for it, he didn't fly the birds around as much as we thought he would. Still interesting of course.
Not sure if pictured really well, but in the darkness is a guy dressed as the Phantom from Phantom of the Opera. He played the main tune, as well as a few Christmas jingles.

Some of the cast members and reps from the stores parading around the streets early in the morning.
RPG Village
There was a dragon egg shop, scribe shop, hammock shop, wax shop ect ect
Neat glass blowing demo.
And finally, the joust. RIP Sir Joseph, we did not deserve a hero like you. Also Sir Roberts is a total tool and cheated.

Met a lot of cool people, one in particular this very attractive girl in a pirate outfit. Thanks pirate outfit girl, I like your outfit, too.

Anywho, may or may not post next week. I do have finals. Afterwards, however, I plan to post more Let's Plays.

See you next week.
