08/18/2016: Fortunate Sons

Hey there readers. It's that time of the week and also that time of the month to make a post on the 18th of August. Today is actually my brother's birthday, so in the off chance that he'll actually see this, happy birthday you big ol' stinker.

I've been reading these translated chapters of a book called Orokamonogatari. Oro, what I'm calling it from hence forth, is part of a series of books from the Monogatari line up. If you know me even slightly, you'd know that I have a big, chubby one over this series. My waifu hails from this anime, so please consider my feelings before you talk mad shit.
the crabby perfect one, that one (middle)
Oro follows none of the above. The story actually takes place after Sodachi Lost, which I won't go into detail with, just know that things have been sorta resolved between the MC and the heroine of the book, Sodachi Oikura, transfers to another school to begin the last month of her high school career.

The book reveals a lot of Sodachi's intentions and idiosyncrasies. It's cool seeing the other side of the coin, who was very ambiguous with her intentions before the light novel. She has a lot of quirks that make her completely awful, but that's part of the reason she's warming up to me. She's asocial and borderline psychotic, but she struggles through daily life trying to be a better person to prove someone wrong. It's very enjoyable, and I'm sure the rest of the chapters will follow suite.

I started to learn Japanese. I've taken the red pill, and now there is no going back. I suppose this is no surprise since I feed my nerdy antics with lots of Japanese weeb products and media, so I figure I might as well take it all the way.

Single and living in a single flat apartment in Japan, here I come.

Ohhh, also I'll be occasionally posting what I've learned on here. Maybe you'll appreciate it or some shit, I dunno.
